AI is breaking into everything.
At Meta Connect 2025, Meta unveiled the world’s most advanced AI glasses. Ray-Ban Display puts a private screen in your lens that answers questions, shows live captions, translates speech, gives walking directions, and more.
Elon Musk’s xAI dropped Grok 4 Fast, a model that delivers GPT-5 (High) performance for ~23× lower cost.
Google dropped Chrome’s biggest upgrade ever. Ten AI features are rolling out now, starting with free Gemini in Chrome for all U.S. desktop users. And Gamma 3.0 launched, making presentations effortless with an agent that can edit entire decks from a single prompt.
Let’s get into it.
”Open source AI represents the world’s best shot at harnessing this technology to create the greatest economic opportunity and security for everyone."

Meta
World's Most Advanced AI Glasses
At Meta Connect 2025, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band, the first Ray-Bans with a built-in color screen. The glasses launch September 30 in the U.S., starting at $799 (Neural Band included) and will expand to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK in early 2026. They come in black or sand, two frame sizes, weigh 69g, and include lenses that automatically adjust between indoors and outdoors.
✨ Key Features
Built-in display → a tiny screen in the right lens shows text, maps, and images only you can see — bright enough indoors or outside.
Neural Band wrist strap → worn like a watch, it picks up small finger movements so you can swipe, click, or adjust volume without touching the glasses or speaking.
Camera + live preview → take clear, phone-quality photos and high-quality video, with a preview in the lens so you can frame your shot before capturing.
Captions & translations → see subtitles during conversations and instant translations of other languages.
Messages & calls → read texts, reply, and take video calls on WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram hands-free.
Navigation → follow walking directions with a small map in your lens.
Battery life → about 6 hours of use on the glasses; up to 30 hours with the portable charging case; Neural Band lasts about 18 hours.
Design & fit → classic Ray-Ban look, two colors, two sizes, lightweight for all-day wear.
👓 What You Can Use Them For
Cook dinner while following step-by-step instructions on the lens.
Get live subtitles in a noisy airport or translate menus on a trip.
Walk around a new city guided by turn-by-turn directions.
Skip songs or turn up the volume on a run with just your wrist.
💡 Why It Matters: Ray-Ban Display is Meta’s clearest attempt to make AI glasses useful for daily life. They look like regular Ray-Bans but quietly add a display and natural controls, testing whether people are ready to shift everyday tasks from their phones to their faces.

Grok 4 Fast: Faster, Cheaper, Smarter
Introducing Grok 4 Fast, a multimodal reasoning model with a 2M context window that sets a new standard for cost-efficient intelligence.
Available for free on grok.com, grok.x.com, iOS and Android apps, and OpenRouter.

xAI just launched Grok 4 Fast, a new model designed to deliver frontier-level reasoning at dramatically lower costs. It keeps most of Grok 4’s accuracy while running 40% more efficiently, making advanced intelligence more accessible for everyday users and developers. It’s now powering grok.com, the mobile apps, and even free-tier access — a first for xAI.
✨ What’s New in Grok 4 Fast
40% more efficient → achieves Grok 4–level reasoning while using fewer tokens.
2M token context → analyze massive documents or datasets without chunking.
Built-in browsing → real-time search across the web and X, optimized for multi-hop queries.
Unified architecture → one model smoothly handles both quick answers and deep reasoning.
Cost breakthrough → up to 98% cheaper to run benchmark tasks compared to Grok 4.
Wider access → first time xAI’s newest model is available to all users, even free accounts.
⚡ Cost & Speed vs. GPT-5
Matches GPT-5 (High) performance at ~23× lower cost (95% cheaper).
Input tokens → $0.20/M (84% cheaper)
Output tokens → $0.50/M (95% cheaper)
Output speed → 344 tokens/s vs. GPT-5’s ~138 tokens/s (150% faster).
Grok 4 Fast pushes AI intelligence density forward — maximum reasoning per dollar. By making high-quality reasoning models affordable and widely available, xAI is positioning Grok not just as a competitor to OpenAI and Anthropic, but as the most cost-efficient way to scale real-world AI apps.
Chrome’s AI Just Got a Major Upgrade
Google says this is the biggest upgrade in Chrome’s history. Ten AI features are rolling out now, starting with free Gemini in the browser for every U.S. desktop user. And this is just the start: Google previewed new “agentic” features coming soon, from booking groceries to automatically blocking scams.
✨ 10 Ways AI Is Changing Chrome
Gemini built in → ask Gemini to explain or rewrite any page you’re reading.
Agentic tasks → coming soon, Gemini will handle chores like ordering groceries or booking a haircut.
Multi-tab smarts → compare and summarize info across multiple open tabs.
Recall old sites → ask Chrome to find pages you visited last week without digging through history.
App tie-ins → deeper links with Calendar, YouTube, and Maps (e.g., jump to a moment in a video).
AI Mode in the address bar → type complex questions directly into the search bar, with follow-ups.
Ask about the page you’re on → contextual AI suggestions and overviews right alongside the page.
Scam protection → Gemini Nano flags fake virus alerts, giveaways, and phishing sites.
Smarter notifications → blocks spammy prompts and learns which site permissions you actually want.
1-click password reset → auto-fix compromised logins on sites like Spotify, Duolingo, and H&M.
Google isn’t just making Chrome faster — it’s making it smarter, safer, and more proactive. By weaving Gemini into the browser itself, Chrome is turning into an everyday AI assistant that manages browsing, shopping, and even security before you ask.
Gamma
Gamma 3.0 Reinvents Slide Making
Excited to introduce: Gamma 3.0
A generational leap for the world's most popular AI presentation tool.
Two major changes:
1. Gamma Agent - with one prompt, you can make sweeping edits across the presentation.
a. Say 'make it more visual' and it will scan each slide for data

Gamma, the AI presentation tool used by millions, just dropped Gamma 3.0.The new Gamma Agent lets you reshape an entire deck with a single prompt — ask it to “make it more visual” and it will redesign charts and layouts across every slide. Even better, you can upload a screenshot of rough notes, and Gamma will synthesize them into slides, search the web to fill gaps, and match everything to your theme automatically.
The update also introduces the Gamma API, opening the door to workflows like auto-generating sales decks from meeting transcripts and sending them out instantly. Alongside this, Gamma is launching Team and Business plans for organizations and a new Ultra tier for power users. The message is clear: while PowerPoint may have a billion users stuck in the slow lane, Gamma 3.0 wants to be the tool that lowers the floor and raises the ceiling for anyone who has an idea worth sharing.
