The frontier of generative AI is expanding.

Luma AI just dropped Ray 3, the world’s first reasoning video model. It can interpret directions, refine its own outputs, and generate high-quality videos ready for production.

Perplexity launched its AI Email Assistant for Gmail and Outlook. It can schedule meetings, draft replies, and organize your inbox.

Google Labs introduced Mixboard, an AI-powered canvas for brainstorming that puts prompts, images, and edits in one place so you can explore and refine ideas faster. And a woman made headlines after asking ChatGPT for lottery numbers and winning $150,000.

Let’s dive in.

“Artificial intelligence is not a substitute for human intelligence; it is a tool to amplify human creativity and ingenuity.”

– Fei-Fei Li, Co-Director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence

📈 5 Must-Know AI Tools

Flowith – A visual AI workspace where you can map ideas, branch conversations, and let autonomous agents run tasks with memory and context. Think of it as ChatGPT on an infinite canvas.

Happenstance – Research anyone in seconds. Connect Gmail, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more to surface shared connections, expertise, and detailed profiles before your next big meeting.

DeepFind.me – Check your digital footprint. Search usernames, files, or images to uncover hidden metadata, IPs, and leaks — useful for safety checks or hiring due diligence.

Higgsfield – Edit images and videos by simply drawing on them. The AI transforms scenes, blends objects, or changes poses without complex prompts.

ClickUp – Project management copilot that drafts tasks, summarizes updates, and generates docs directly inside ClickUp, helping teams cut hours of busywork.

Ray3: The World’s First Reasoning Video Model

Luma just launched Ray 3, the world’s first reasoning video model. Ray 3 blends intelligence with visuals: it can interpret annotations, understand intent, evaluate its own outputs, and iterate until it hits the quality bar. For the first time, generative video feels like a true creative partner: one that can storyboard, block, and refine complex scenes with physics, anatomy, and consistency baked in.

🎬 What’s New in Ray 3

  • Reasoning engine → interprets prompts, annotations, and even scribbles; iterates like a creative partner

  • Draft Mode → rapid prototyping to explore more ideas, then upscale only the best to final HDR

  • Hi-Fi Diffusion Pass → master draft clips into crisp 4K HDR footage ready for post-production

  • Native HDR generation → 10/12/16-bit video, SDR-to-HDR upgrades, and EXR export for pro color grading

  • Physics & consistency → realistic motion, preserved anatomy, crowds, lighting, reflections, motion blur

💡 Why It Matters: Ray 3 marks a turning point for generative video. By fusing reasoning with HDR fidelity, Luma AI has created something bigger than a video generator — it’s an AI co-director, able to understand vision, adapt in real time, and deliver footage worthy of the big screen.

Perplexity’s AI Email Assistant

Perplexity just rolled out an AI-powered email assistant for Gmail and Outlook, giving you a personal scheduler, writer, and inbox organizer in one. Think of it as a full-time chief of staff living inside your inbox — one that handles the busywork so you don’t have to.

🎯 Core Features

  • Smart scheduling → handles availability, suggests times, and sends invites for you

  • Tone-matched replies → drafts responses in your own writing style

  • Automatic triage → labels, sorts, and highlights priority threads

  • Native fit → plugs directly into Gmail + Outlook with no extra workflow needed

đŸ’Œ What You Can Use It For

  • Meeting setup → no more back-and-forth, just add the assistant to the thread

  • Email triage → surface what’s urgent, let the assistant file the rest

  • Fast replies → handle routine requests with auto-drafted responses

  • Focus work → spend time on strategy, not inbox cleanup

Perplexity built its reputation by reinventing search. Now it’s moving straight into the inbox — the most valuable real estate in daily work. By turning Gmail and Outlook into AI-driven command centers, Perplexity is signaling a bigger play: evolving from a search engine into a full-stack productivity platform.

Amazon’s Lens Live: Turn Your Camera Into a Storefront

Google Labs just launched Mixboard, an experimental design canvas that blends AI with open-ended creativity. It’s part moodboard, part playground — built to help you explore, remix, and refine ideas visually.

đŸ› ïž What You Can Do With Mixboard

  • Start from scratch → kick off a board with a text prompt or use Google’s pre-made templates

  • Bring your own visuals → upload images and mix them with AI-generated ones

  • Edit naturally → type “make it brighter” or “combine with this photo” and Nano Banana handles the rest

  • Remix fast → spin out new variations instantly with “regenerate” or “more like this”

  • Add context → auto-generate captions or supporting text based on your board’s visuals

Mixboard isn’t trying to be Photoshop or Figma. It’s tackling the messier front-end of creativity — the brainstorm. By fusing prompts, images, and quick edits on a single board, Google is testing how AI can act as your first draft partner for concepts big or small.

Real Life AI

Virginia Woman Wins Lottery with ChatGPT’s Help

A Virginia woman named Carrie Edwards asked ChatGPT for lottery numbers while buying a Powerball ticket and ended up winning $150,000. The AI-generated picks matched four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball, and her choice of the Power Play option tripled her prize from $50,000 to $150,000.

Instead of keeping the winnings, Edwards donated the entire amount to three causes: the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in memory of her late husband, Shalom Farms to support food justice, and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society to help military families. The story is part curiosity, part generosity, showing how AI is seeping into unexpected corners of daily life.
