🦙 Meet the New King of Open-Source AI
+ Trending no-code agents, Amazon’s AI shopper, and the UK’s race to power the AI boom

Here we go again.
Meta’s back with Llama 4—three new models built for deep reads, smart assistants, and whatever Behemoth turns into once it finishes cooking. Meanwhile, n8n is quietly becoming the go-to tool for building AI agents without writing a single line of code.
Amazon’s AI now shops for you (because clicking "Buy Now" is apparently outdated), and the UK is making sure all this progress doesn’t overload the grid. Real tools, real power shifts.
Here’s what’s moving in AI this week.
“I visualize a time when we will be to robots what dogs are to humans, and I’m rooting for the machines.”

Llama 4
Meta Unveils Llama 4: The New King of Open-Source AI
Meta just dropped three new Llama 4 models — each built for a different kinds of work. From processing massive documents to powering everyday apps, here’s what each one is for (and how to actually use them):
Scout - The Long-Reader. With a 10M-token context window, Scout can digest entire codebases, books, or legal documents in one go. Use it for deep analysis, full-document summarization, or querying across massive datasets. Despite being 109B parameters, it runs on a single H100—efficient and powerful.
Maverick - The All-Rounder. Think GPT-4-level flexibility. Whether you're building a chatbot, generating content, or coding side projects, Maverick is the generalist you want in your stack.
Behemoth (Coming soon) - The Brainiac-in-Training. Still cooking, but once released, expect top-tier reasoning and tutoring capabilities. Think: advanced research assistant or foundation model for custom fine-tunes.
These models aren’t just research projects—they’re already powering Meta AI in WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and web chat. And if you want to build with them yourself, they’re open-source and available now on llama.com and Hugging Face.
ALPHA DROP
(Where we spotlight one powerful tool or feature to help you stay ahead.)
Why Everyone’s Using n8n for AI Automation
Meet n8n (pronounced “n-eight-n”)—an open-source automation platform that lets you build powerful AI workflows without writing a single line of code. It’s like Zapier, but more flexible and customizable, with a drag-and-drop interface you can use in your browser or host on your own server for free.
It comes with built-in nodes to connect to OpenAI, Claude, and your own APIs. You can add smart logic like “if this happens, do that,” repeat steps, store data in memory, or pull from a database. With 1,600+ workflow automation templates available, you can get up and running quickly—no experience needed.
💡 What You Can Build:
Auto-Reply Assistant: Automatically respond to form submissions or emails using GPT → Log responses in Airtable → Alert your team on Slack.
Custom ChatGPT With Memory: User enters a question → AI responds (GPT or Claude) → Log conversation to Notion or a database.
Real-Time Trend Watcher: Monitor Reddit, Twitter, or YouTube comments → Flag posts with specific keywords → Summarize with AI → Get notified.
Smart Product Watcher: Track prices or product drops → Alert you when they change → Optionally auto-purchase or trigger another action.
Content Repurposing Assistant: Upload a video or blog → Use AI to write captions, social posts, summaries → Schedule across platforms.
Bonus Build Idea: An AI Agent That Books Jobs For You
Imagine you run a mobile car detailing business. A customer fills out your website form. n8n reads the request, checks your availability, books the job, sends a confirmation text, and logs it to your CRM.
No calls. No back-and-forth. Just booked.
Built with n8n + OpenAI + Google Calendar. Add tools like Twilio or Calendly for extra power. Great for freelancers, service businesses, or busy solo founders.
n8n = your no-code superpower.
Amazon Nova
Your New Amazon AI Shopping Assistant
Amazon just introduced Nova Act, a smart AI assistant that helps you get things done online—faster and with less hassle. Right now, it's available for developers to test out, but it shows where Amazon is headed with AI.
What can it do?
Nova Act can:
Search the web for you
Buy things online (yes, really!)
Schedule events
Even skip annoying add-ons during checkout (like those “extra warranty” pop-ups)
It also has a “Buy for Me” feature that lets it securely shop on third-party sites inside the Amazon app. So instead of you jumping through checkout hoops, Nova Act handles it—safely and privately, using encrypted tech powered by Amazon and Anthropic’s Claude AI.
For builders and devs:
Amazon also launched nova.amazon.com, where developers can play around with these tools and even build their own AI assistants using the Nova Act SDK. Think of it as giving devs the parts to build custom AI tools that can handle complex web tasks like a pro.
UK AI Council
UK Launches AI Energy Council to Power the AI Boom
The UK just launched an AI Energy Council to make sure the nation’s power grid can handle the growing energy demands of AI. The group includes big names like Google, Microsoft, AWS, ARM, and National Grid, and held its first meeting on April 8.
Top priority? Creating AI Growth Zones—regions guaranteed to deliver 500+ megawatts of power for AI training and cloud infrastructure. The goal is to speed up approvals and attract long-term investment.
The council is also working to boost clean energy, expand grid access, and keep the UK on track with its net-zero targets—putting energy planning at the heart of its AI strategy.
⚡ Quick Reads – Don’t Miss These

Robots just took human jobs at BMW → Humanoid AI-powered workers from Figure are now assembling cars. Real robots. Real factory. Real future.
Google’s paying AI talent to do nothing → DeepMind is handing out fat checks just to keep engineers from joining rivals. The AI talent war is getting wild.
